With so many representative organisations in the photography world, one may ask the question is there a need for something else? In the UK we have an Institute incorporated by law. Its daughter of over 50 years standing as a trade organisation. A Society that carries the Royal Warrant and a few others. More to follow…..

Perhaps the world of photography is ripe for a change? So many people out there simply trying to make a living. Doing their best to achieve sometimes in the face of ridicule, scorn or often, just plain jealousy. Someone always trying to rip you off and expect loyalty when none is due.

Welcome to the TENnetwork from Illuminatus

A warm welcome to the first post on this the TENnetwork blog!

So, let me begin by telling you a little about the TENnetwork concept just to get those juices flowing...

• Elite groups of only 10 photographers arranged geographically with the purpose of advancing skills via practical exercises and business initiatives.

• A very special “Introductory” offer of £1,200.00 plus VAT per annum!

• Each photographer to make a commitment of only £100.00 plus VAT per calendar month by direct debit for a minimum contracted period of 12 months.

• This cost equates to nothing more than selling only one or two extra prints per week or a small portrait session each month.

• Each group to meet as their group 3 times each year with an additional meeting of the “TENnetwork”.

• The only additional costs to each member would be food & accommodation at each of the meetings.

• In the UK the plan is to form a maximum of 4 groups. North, South, Central & “Tasveer” (a dedicated Asian photographers group). In addition another group to be formed in the Republic of Ireland.

• Quarterly “TENnetwork” Awards with sponsored prizes for the regional and national winners.

• An annual award with a top prize of a Nikon professional camera dependent upon the number of groups participating.

• Each member may enter up to 10 entries per quarter with no entry fee. The images to be scored on the ‘100’ point system.

• Discounts on equipment and software negotiated with trade sponsors.

• Quarterly (or more frequent) dedicated HTML newsletter.

• Dedicated “Mentoring Programme” for members only using ‘Go To Meeting’ or similar web access.
